How This Dundas Guide Checks Its Facts
This page explains who writes the guide, where its facts come from, and why some numbers never appear. It also covers the two small tools on the site. One reads the listed table hours, the other measures distances from Dundas.
Part 1
Who writes the guide
The guide is written under the name Lena Marchetti. That is a pen name, used by a small editorial team. There is no email address and no contact form here.
This site exists because a night at Flamboro depends on the day of the week. Elements Casino Flamboro sits beside Flamboro Downs, a harness track at 967 Highway 5 West. Racing usually runs Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with a 6:25 p.m. post time. The race calendar still has the final word. We wanted one plain place that answers what a given evening there looks like.
Part 2
Where the facts come from
Facts on this site come from venue pages, the AGCO, iGaming Ontario, OLG and the racing press. Each one is stored with its source and the date it was checked. The current round of checks was done in October 2026.
When two sources give different numbers, the number stays out. That is why the guide prints no slot or table counts. It is also why Flamboro Downs is described only as running since the 1970s, and why some hours are missing. Mohawk and Toronto hours, for example, differ from page to page on their own sites.
A full 2026 Flamboro Downs race calendar was not available to the editors. Dates can change, and a card can be cancelled. So the guide never promises racing on a particular night. Check the race calendar before heading out.
Part 3
The planner and the distance dial
The planner reads the live table hours Elements Casino Flamboro lists, then checks Ontario time in your browser. The casino floor itself is listed as always open. It shows how those hours line up with the clock, nothing more. On holidays especially, the venue's own page is the one to check.
Distances come from a dial that works on coordinates. Central Dundas sits at 43.2661,-79.9547, and each racetrack point stands in for the casino beside it. Every figure is a straight line, not a road distance. Both tools run in the browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.
