Fallsview Casino Resort, the Niagara End
This page covers Fallsview Casino Resort, the Niagara end of the guide's list. It is written for Dundas readers weighing a longer evening out. Where it sits, who runs it and what the resort holds come first. Parking, the shuttle to Casino Niagara and the ID rules follow.
Part 1
Worth the Trip Past Flamboro?
Fallsview Casino Resort stands at 6380 Fallsview Blvd in Niagara Falls, above the Horseshoe Falls. From central Dundas it is 73.7 km east-southeast. That figure is a straight line, not a road distance. Together with Casino Niagara, it marks the far end of this guide.
Flamboro is a racino on Highway 5, built around a harness track. Fallsview is a different animal. It opened to the public on June 10, 2004, after a build that cost $1 billion. OLG owns the property. Mohegan has run it since June 11, 2019, under a 21-year agreement with OLG, so the company on the floor differs from Flamboro's.
Hours are the easy part. The casino says it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included.
Part 2
A Resort, Not a Racino
There is no track here. Fallsview has a 372-room hotel and two show venues: the 1,500-seat Avalon Theatre and the 5,000-seat OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino. A night out can mean a concert and a room upstairs, not a post time.
The card changes too. Fallsview uses Momentum, Mohegan's rewards program, which is free to join at 19+ with government-issued photo ID. Sign-up happens at Casino Guest Services, at Fallsview or Casino Niagara. At Flamboro, the card in the wallet is Great Canadian Rewards.
Part 3
Parking, Shuttle and Door Rules
Parking is the first change from Flamboro, where complimentary parking is listed among the amenities. At Fallsview it is paid, in the garage. Momentum members can get complimentary parking based on their rated play. Rates may run higher on holidays, weekends and concert dates.
Casino Niagara is about 1.4 km away in a straight line. A shuttle links the two daily from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., roughly every 30 minutes. It is free with a Momentum card or a partner hotel key card.
At the door, the casino is 19+. Security asks for ID from anyone who appears under 30, and two pieces from anyone who appears 21 or younger. Only valid government-issued photo ID is accepted. Smoking is not allowed inside, though covered, heated outdoor terraces sit off the gaming floor. Shirts and shoes must be worn.
